Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director, this position is based in Singapore and primarily involves the planning and execution of assigned projects.
A Day in the Life:
- Prepare the BOQ (Breakdown of Quantity) by listing down the materials, fittings and fixtures that will be required
- Source for quotes on procurement of required material
- Negotiate for the best terms and conditions and proceed with the procurement of materials / fittings from suppliers
- Apply for necessary licenses, passes, and permits
- Conduct site recce when necessary
- Support site operations (field operations)
- Submit concepts and costing to clients for approval
- Liaise with relevant parties to ensure electrical / water plans and internet connection (on request) are done
- Liaise with clients for artwork and send to supplier for printing
- Coordinate with sales and suppliers on work specifications and clients’ requirements
- Monitor and ensure that suppliers / sub-contractors work according to schedules
- Conduct checks on quality of fabrication by suppliers according to requirements
- Conduct on-site servicing to address clients’ feedback
- Conduct on-site supervision of suppliers and move-in arrangements
- Prepare additional costing for sales to bill clients for “VO” (variation order)
- Raise Purchase Order and close project after the events
- Coordinate with suppliers to clear items after the events
- Oversee and ensure proper teardown after the events
- Assist the department in any other matters when necessary
What We Are Looking For:
- Knowledge on furniture, materials, and finishes will be an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Word / Excel / Project.
- Independent and self-motivated
- Ability to multitask and work within tight schedules
- Must have technical knowledge in conceptual design drawings and floor plan
- Diploma or Degree in Events / Construction Management, or a related field
- 2 – 3 years of relevant on-site operational experience
- Experience in M&E will be an added advantage
- Possess the mobility to work in a standard office setting, and to operate standard office equipment (including a computer), and attend meetings
- Vision to read printed materials and computer screens, and adequate hearing and speech abilities to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
